Capcom’s latest showcase gave Monster Hunter, Dragon’s Dogma, and Onimusha fresh news

The presentation paired a same-day Monster Hunter Stories 3 DLC release with an October expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2 and a September Onimusha launch window.

Capcom used its 2026 Spotlight to pull three different series into the same frame, with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen all getting fresh details in one presentation.

The show moved from a same-day content drop to a new expansion reveal and then to a new enemy preview, so there was plenty for Capcom fans to unpack.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

New content for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection arrived today with the paid DLC Additional Side Story: Rudy and a free update that adds tougher endgame trials. Fans of Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will recognize Navirou’s return, and the side story also ties into Rudy, the Royal Felyne at the center of the new content.

The DLC looks back at Navirou’s fate over the last 200 years and puts him face to face with an ancestor in Rudy. Capcom also brought back Nergigante from Monster Hunter: World as a major threat, though it still cannot be turned into a Monstie.

Additional Side Story: Rudy is available on its own and is also included in the Deluxe Edition and Premium Deluxe editions. The free update adds Royal Monsters, which become available after players load a completed save file and clear a harder version of the final boss. From there, the world fills out with stronger invasive monsters and Calamitous Elder Dragons.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen lands on October 9 as both a bundle for new players and a standalone expansion. Capcom is sending players north to Norgan, a frozen new area built around a Fallen Dragon with a missing heart and a mysterious woman named Eir.

The Norgan section brings back the Relic Expedition Cycle, where players fight through enemies, gather relics, and trade them in for better weapons and armor. The expansion also adds 12 new dungeons called Lost Rites, along with extra hairstyle and tattoo options for character creation.

Capcom said a second free update for the base game will arrive in late August. That patch will add more save slots, raise weapon skill slots from four to six, and bring performance improvements. Pre-orders began today on PS5 in most regions and will open in all countries in early July.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is due on PS5 this September, and Capcom used the Spotlight to show off a new Genma enemy called Dohatsu-ten. The game follows Miyamoto Musashi, who is revived with Oni powers and fights through a dark fantasy take on Kyoto while carrying an Oni Gauntlet.

Dohatsu-ten is built as a fast, hard-hitting boss with a sword that grows stronger as it is stained by Musashi’s blood. Capcom also pointed to a free demo on PlayStation Store for players who want a first pass at the combat.

Capcom packed a lot into this one presentation, and each game took a different path. If you watched the Spotlight, share your thoughts in the comments and join us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
