Once Human is smoothing out the Collection grind and giving Shiny Mods a cleaner path

The June 24 PT update will move accessories behind Precision Components and keep existing progress intact, while the July 9 PT update adds armor Shiny Mods through Scenario Honor and Mod Collection Progress.

Once Human’s latest dev blog lays out two big changes on the way: a rework for the Collection system on June 24, 2026 PT and a separate Shiny Mod overhaul on July 9, 2026 PT. Starry Studio is also promising compensation for players who already pushed deep into the Collection track before the first update lands.

Collection changes will make accessory hunting less scattered

The June 24 PT update will focus on making the Collection system feel more direct. The studio said the current setup spreads rewards out too thinly and leaves players with slow feedback as they chase milestones. Accessories are the biggest change here, because they will no longer be tied to a patchwork of wilderness mini-games, tasks, the Morphic Shop, or merchants.

Instead, players will earn an exclusive item called Precision Components through the Collection system and spend them in the Accessory system to unlock specific items. The costs are straightforward:

  • Blue accessories: 1 Precision Component
  • Purple accessories: 2 Precision Components
  • Gold accessories: 4 Precision Components

The game will also show a clearer note on each unlocked accessory explaining how many Precision Components are needed, while the Accessory interface will display the player’s current amount in the upper right corner. On top of that, the total Collection level will rise from Lv. 780 to Lv. 900.

Players who already invested in the system will keep what they unlocked. The studio said Collection levels will not be reset, unlocked accessories will stay unlocked, and eligible compensation will be sent automatically after the update. Anyone who had reached Collection level 30 or higher before the June 24 PT update will receive 1 Phantom Cube, 5,000 Starchrom, and 1,000 Mitsuko’s Mark.

There is also a separate loot crate payout tied to Collection level:

  • Lv. 30 to 59: 2 Collection Loot Crates
  • Lv. 60 to 79: 3 Collection Loot Crates
  • Lv. 80 and above: 4 Collection Loot Crates

Precision Components will be calculated from a player’s existing Collection progress, with the blog laying out three level bands. Up to Lv. 120, the conversion is 1.6 times the current Collection level. From Lv. 120 to Lv. 360, it becomes 192 plus 0.6 times the amount above 120. From Lv. 360 to Lv. 780, it is 336 plus 0.1333 times the amount above 360. The studio also said unlocked accessories will be converted by rarity, and any shortfall will be topped up with Precision Components.

In the examples Starry Studio gave, a player with many unlocked accessories and Collection level 200 would end up with 110 Precision Components as compensation, while a player at Collection level 100 with a larger accessory pool would not get extra components because their unlocked items already covered the value.

Shiny Mods will have two new reward routes on July 9 PT

The second half of the blog turns to Armor Shiny Mods, which will arrive with the July 9 PT update. Starry Studio said the goal is to give these rare mods a clearer collection path instead of relying mainly on random duplicate Lv. 17 Mod conversions.

The first route will sit inside Scenario Honor – Scenario Rating. Rewards will be tied to scenario performance, and players will be able to claim them as soon as they hit the rating requirement. They will not need to wait for scenario settlement. The rewards are account-wide, so every character on the account shares them.

For the listed scenarios, Rating Tier 1 will grant a Random Lv. 17 Armor Mod Crate, while Rating Tier 2 will grant a Random Armor Shiny Mod Crate. The thresholds are:

  • Manibus: 350 for Tier 1, 500 for Tier 2
  • Endless Dream: 350 for Tier 1, 500 for Tier 2
  • The Way of Winter: 160 for Tier 1, 300 for Tier 2
  • Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve: 333 for Tier 1, 999 for Tier 2
  • Prismverse’s Clash: 240 for Tier 1, 300 for Tier 2
  • Evolution’s Call: 240 for Tier 1, 300 for Tier 2

Permanent servers will not use the same setup forever. The blog says a similar challenge-style system will be built for that environment in a future version, with rewards that reset on a cycle so players on permanent servers can still earn Shiny Mods over time.

The second route is Collection Progress. This one will appear in the Mod interface as a clickable button, with progress split into tabs for weapon builds and armor parts. Each milestone will be a one-time reward for the account. For the example Burn build, the rewards are:

  • Reach Lv. 180: Random Mod Crate (Lv. 9-14) ×1
  • Reach Lv. 220: Random Mod Crate (Lv. 13-15) ×1
  • Reach Lv. 260: Random Mod Crate (Lv. 14-17) ×1
  • Reach Lv. 300: Random Mod Crate (Lv. 17) ×1
  • Reach Lv. 330: Weapon Shiny Mod Random Selection Crate ×1

Starry Studio said those rewards are only examples and that the final in-game display after the update is what matters. It also clarified that the Shiny Mod Selection Crate handed out on January 22, 2026 will not be able to pick the new Armor Shiny Mods.
