Nick Cage leads Call of Duty’s Season 04 Reloaded update

The June 25 rollout adds the Kowakuj4d Zombies map, Zenith and Launch in Multiplayer, Operation King Killer in Endgame, and Warzone's returning Champion's Quest.

Call of Duty’s Season 04 Reloaded update will arrive on June 25, and it brings a lot with it. The official Season 04 Reloaded announcement lays out new Multiplayer maps, a fresh Zombies map, Endgame’s Operation King Killer, and Warzone’s returning Champion’s Quest.

Nick Cage is also part of the seasonal event push, which ties the mid-season content together across Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

Endgame gets a new operation

Operation King Killer sends players into Avalon to track down The Guild’s Central Command Node through escalating challenges in Zone III and higher. The operation will ask squads to finish with Samuels, Wei Lin, or Emma Kagan to unlock a Weapon Camo, while clearing it with all three operators will unlock an Animated Weapon Camo.

Endgame also gets the Guardian Skill Track, the Psych Grenade Minor Ability, the Fission Exotic Skill, and the Sleeper Agent Nightmare Skill. The mode will remain free to play through the end of Season 05.

Multiplayer adds Zenith and brings back Launch

Zenith will join the 6v6/2v2 rotation as a new map, while Launch returns as a remaster. Team Blueprint Sharpshooter and Knife Fight will also arrive, and Black Ops Classic will become permanent with Launch, Fringe, Hacienda, and Gridlock in rotation starting June 25.

Kowakuj4d heads to Zombies

The new round-based Zombies map will take the crew to a volcanic Japanese castle in the Dark Aether, where Oni, Hellhounds, Scorched Zombies, a classified Wonder Weapon, a Ghostly Rifleman trap, and the Hellping Hound GobbleGum all wait in the fire. The Main Quest will be available when the map launches on June 25 at 9 a.m. PT, with rewards that include the “Purified” Takeo Operator Skin, a Calling Card, and 10,000 XP.

Players who finish the Main Quest before Directed Mode arrives for Kowakuj4d will also earn a unique Calling Card variant, while Mastery Challenges and Cursed Mode will add more camos, Calling Cards, and XP to chase.

Warzone gets a summer refresh

Rebirth Island will lose its winter look and return to a brighter summer setting, but Turbine, Outpost, and other Season 02 additions will stay in place. Squad Gun Game will land on Resurgence maps, Buy Back Quads will return as a Weekend LTM from July 9 through July 13, and the Champion’s Quest will come back for squads that qualify by winning five straight Core Battle Royale matches or 30 matches in a single season.

Finishing the quest will unlock a unique Weapon Camo and a Legendary Animated Operator Skin for Grimm, with more rewards waiting for repeat clears.

New weapons and event rewards round things out

The rest of the package adds the Executioner’s Duet melee weapon, the AN-94 assault rifle, three new weapon attachments, a Nick Cage Event Pass, the Summer of Action login event, ranked events, and fresh bundles in the store.

It is a busy mid-season slate, and Call of Duty is clearly using it to keep all four modes moving at once. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
