Dune: Awakening marked its first anniversary with Communinet Signal #18, a four-week celebration that runs from June 10 through July 10. The event includes free cosmetic rewards, Progression Boost Weekends, and other community-focused activities, with more detail posted in the official anniversary blog post.

The anniversary stream also put the spotlight on community clips, player stories, and a live tattoo vote. Chat landed on a Shai-Hulud theme, and Funcom said both of the top-voted tattoo designs will be added to the game, with the timing to be shared later.
Players also sent in memories through a Reddit thread, and some of those stories made it onto the broadcast. The examples ranged from close calls in the Deep Desert to early moments of confusion, worm trouble, and server friendships that helped define the first year on Arrakis.
Funcom said Patch 1.4.10 will arrive before September, alongside planned community events and more weekend boosts. The studio also said five new Landsraad missions are coming in a patch soon, but PC updates will stop once the build is submitted for Xbox and Sony certification so the September console release can stay in step across platforms.
The Q&A went further, with the team saying it is looking at PvP, combat balance, augments, itemization, and new long-term systems. That includes fresh ability trees, new specializations, and other gameplay loops tied into the wider game, plus more Deep Desert activity and more live events down the line.
Players who missed the broadcast can catch the full stream VOD on Twitch or YouTube.
