PUBG: Black Budget’s second alpha test is locked for late June

KRAFTON said the PC test will run from June 26 to June 29 in East Asia, Europe, and North America, and players can stream or record it because there is no NDA.

KRAFTON detailed the second closed alpha for PUBG: Black Budget on June 12, and the next PC test will run from June 26 at 17:00 UTC+9 through June 29 at 17:00 UTC+9. The session will cover East Asia, Europe, and North America, and the studio said there will be no NDA this time.

How the test will work

Players who want access need to click the Request Playtest button on the Steam store page. KRAFTON said selected participants will get individual Steam notifications before the test begins, with invites sent on a rolling basis.

Friends can also join the same test, but there is a limit. Once in the build, players will be able to invite up to two friends through Steam, and those friends must have been on each other’s Steam friends list for at least 30 days. KRAFTON also warned that friend invites may be disabled early if server capacity gets tight.

Because the test is not under NDA, players will be free to stream, record, and share gameplay footage.

Minimum PC specs

KRAFTON listed these minimum requirements for the alpha:

  • OS: Windows 11 (Minimum)
  • CPU: 6-Core Processor (Intel® Core™ i5-8400, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 equivalent)
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 6600 (8GB VRAM minimum)
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Disk Space: 30 GB
  • Internet: Stable broadband connection required

Players should also keep their graphics drivers updated before the test starts. KRAFTON added that some regions may see latency issues that could affect service quality, so queue times and match performance may vary.
