Summer Games Done Quick has its July plan lined up
The speedrunning marathon runs from July 5-11 in Minneapolis and will support Doctors Without Borders.

Games Done Quick has shared the full schedule for Summer Games Done Quick, and the marathon is heading back to Minneapolis, Minnesota from July 5-11. As always, the event will raise money for Doctors Without Borders.
The organization provides medical aid in places affected by disease outbreaks, conflicts, and other disasters. Last year’s SGDQ brought in $2.4 million for the charity, which gives this summer’s run a pretty clear benchmark to chase.
The complete timetable is posted on the GDQ schedule page, but the organizers also highlighted a few runs that stand out:
- Super Mario 64 will feature GDQ’s first-ever 120 Star TAS run.
- Total Nuclear Annihilation will see runner Ryan McSquid tackle a pinball run while breaking down advanced techniques.
- NES Tetris Tournament Finals will hit the main stage. Online qualifiers will run on GDQ Hotfix in June, with a last chance qualifier for people attending on site.
- Balatro runner adef will try to push the score so far that it breaks the game.
- Gordon & Daxter is described as a hybrid run that imports Half-Life 1 movement into Jak & Daxter.
Beyond those marquee runs, this year’s lineup also includes I Am Your Beast, The Evil Within 2, PEAK, StarCraft, 20XX, Slay the Spire 2, and plenty more. SGDQ will stream on Twitch and YouTube.
