After the successful end of the Fortnite World Cup, Epic Games is on the move to launch a new competitive scene in which $10 million are ready to be shared among contestants. Named Fortnite Champion Series, the competitive scene is getting live on August 17, in which three-round Trios event will be held each weekend for five weeks straight. But, knowing that one frustration features in Fortnite remain p, players are already exposing their frustration across the social networks.
Epic Games’ opinion on the most recent addition in Season X, B.R.U.T.E., the ruthless mech that according to many professional players is ruining the integrity of Fortnite, is somewhat brutal. Just ahead of the new Season X Competitive Update launch, in which $10 million will be shared across players who attend at these competitive events, Epic Games has discovered that the B.R.U.T.E. will remain permanent.
Not to mention, the mechs will be both available in Tournament modes and Arenas. Epic Games has proven the opposite, claiming that they’ve been monitoring the behavior and results which mostly lean towards his existence, not only in the regular game mode but in competitive as well.
The Mech is bound to receive a very minor nerf (not exactly one) in update v10.10, where aiming rockets will be sending a laser and a sound towards the targeted player, knowing them they’re being tackled by a B.R.U.T.E. This shouldn’t be considered for a nerf, since the damage output will most likely remain the same.
According to Epic Games:
The B.R.U.T.E. remains within the core game modes (Solo, Duos, and Squads), select Limited Time Modes, and in competitive Arena and Tournament play. We’ll communicate any future iterations to the vehicle as we’re continuing to investigate a few more areas where we can improve combat interactions.
Knowing that a new competitive season is coming soon in which $10 million are planned to be shared among contestants, this is not a great choice by Epic Games.
