Battlefield 6 Season 3 is lining up for a May 12 start

The next season is expected to run through July, bring back Railway to Golmud and Cairo Bazaar, and add REDSEC Ranked Play plus Solos.

Battlefield 6 Season 3 is lining up for a May 12, 2026 start, and it looks like one of the game’s busiest seasonal drops yet. EA and DICE are bringing back two maps, adding Ranked Play to REDSEC Battle Royale Quads, and opening the door for Battle Royale Solos.

The date is not locked in as a formal launch announcement in the material available here, but the current timing points to May 12, 2026. That lands at the end of Season 2’s Battle Pass and lines up with the close of the Hunter/Prey phase, which wrapped with Operation Augur in a recent April 14 update.

If Season 3 follows the series’ usual pattern, it will likely go live at 6 a.m. CT. That would put the rollout at 4 a.m. PT, 5 a.m. MT, 7 a.m. ET, 12 p.m. BST, 1 p.m. CEST, 3 p.m. GST, 4:30 p.m. IST, 7 p.m. CST, 8 p.m. JST/KST, and 9 p.m. AET.

What Season 3 adds

The biggest map addition is Railway to Golmud, a reworked take on Battlefield 4‘s Golmud Railway. EA describes it as the largest map in Battlefield 6, with wide open terrain, train routes that can be used for movement or ambushes, and several objective lanes built for large-scale vehicle combat.

Cairo Bazaar also returns, drawing from Grand Bazaar in Battlefield 3. This map leans much more toward close-quarters fights, with tighter streets, cleaner objective flow, and updated layouts built for modern competitive play.

Season 3 also introduces Ranked Play for REDSEC Battle Royale Quads, the first competitive ladder for the mode. Players will move through Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Elite, with rewards, skill-based matchmaking, and leaderboards tied to the climb. Battle Royale Solos is also joining the mix for players who want to go it alone.

One more wrinkle comes from Battlefield data miner temporyal, who listed possible Season 3 additions such as the L115A3 bolt-action sniper rifle, RPK-74M light machine gun, M16A3 assault rifle, PP-19 Vityaz submachine gun, a Mobile Jammer Recon Gadget, Artillery Strike and Smoke Screen battle pickups, and a JAGM Strike call-in for Battle Royale. Those items are not confirmed.

Season 3 is confirmed to run through July 2026, which gives players a long runway before Season 4 follows. If EA sticks to that schedule, Battlefield 6 will stay busy well into the summer.

Season 3 looks loaded, and the May 12 window gives Battlefield fans a clear date to watch. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram for more Battlefield coverage.
