Players want WoW’s Fungal Strider turned into a mushroom ‘longboi’ mount

A large, mushroom-inspired creature seen in the Midnight expansion has players asking Blizzard to make it a mount. The creature is the Fungal Strider, which appears wandering the Harandar zone. Players noticed it looks similar to the long, rideable Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur mount that carries an Auction House vendor and a mailbox.

On Reddit one player wrote “Blizzard!!! Give me the Fungus Longboy and my life is yours!” and linked the post on the site. The shared thread displays the request in full, and the same submission is available without tracking parameters on its subreddit page.

The post credits u/Direxus and sits in the r/wow community where other players chimed in with suggested mount features. Suggestions range from practical additions like Auction House access, transmog, bank access, and repairs, to more whimsical ideas such as a portal-mage station or a passenger seat on the Strider’s head. Many jokes about price and rarity circulated, but several comments said they would likely buy the mount if Blizzard ever released it. As a side note, killing a Fungal Strider grants the achievement “Hold aggro, I got this.
