EA restructures Full Circle as layoffs hit skate. developer

Electronic Arts announced on February 25, 2026 that it is reorganizing the studio behind skate. The company published an update saying it is changing the team structure at Full Circle and that “some roles will be impacted.” The statement did not state how many positions will be affected, and the studio named in the announcement is Full Circle and the update is available from Electronic Arts here.

The statement also says the decision is not a reflection on those affected and that the company will provide support during the transition. It includes the following passage about the project and the player base: “Our work on skate. continues. We look forward to working with you as we move faster, listen more closely, and deliver consistently for all of you. Our commitment to skate., and to the millions of players who believe in it, remains strong.

Layoffs and restructurings have been common across the games industry in 2026. Riot Games recently announced a downsizing tied to a refocus around its 2XKO team. The development team for Highguard underwent heavy restructuring less than a month after that game’s release. Ubisoft has been reorganizing teams and canceled several projects, including a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Microsoft Gaming and Xbox have been through a large executive shuffle following Phil Spencer’s retirement and Sarah Bond’s resignation, though Microsoft has said no major in-house studio shakeups are planned at this time.

Full Circle’s announcement is the latest in a string of studio reorganizations this year. The company emphasized that work on the game will continue while the studio changes its structure.
