EA uses the Anniversary Edition label for updated remasters. The seven are:
- Road Rash: 30th Anniversary Edition
- Wing Commander: 35th Anniversary Edition
- Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi: 35th Anniversary Edition
- Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger: 30th Anniversary Edition
- Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom: 30th Anniversary Edition
- Wing Commander Prophecy: 30th Anniversary Edition
- Privateer 2: The Darkening: 30th Anniversary Edition
Five other Wing Commander releases and Road Rash join the previously announced Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger 30th Anniversary Edition. The rest of the collection consists of re-releases, including Theme Hospital, the Crusader games, Strike Commander and the Ultima series. Steam’s EA Classics page carries the full batch.
The seven restored editions include updates for current systems, controls and performance. Their official releases also incorporate community updates, including popular mods. EA says the editions preserve the originals’ look, feel and creative intent.
EA says the restoration work grew out of a physical-media vault containing thousands of Betacam, VHS and D1 tapes, alongside other assets. Digitization recovered master FMV sequences thought lost, and restored edits cover more than 1,500 cinematic scenes across the seven games.
All 25 games are 50% off through Nov. 19. Ultima and Wing Commander bundles are discounted 55%.
