Grasshopper Is Almost Certain It Will Release Another Game in 2026

Grasshopper Manufacture is planning more releases in 2026 following the launch of ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN, and studio head Suda51 told viewers during a Grasshopper Direct that the company is “almost 100 percent certain” it will ship another game this year.

During the short presentation Suda51 promised a surprise announcement but did not reveal what type of game the studio is developing or when an official reveal will arrive. He asked fans to wait a little longer for further information.

Here is Suda51’s statement from the Grasshopper Direct:

“We actually have a surprise announcement for you all in this Grasshopper Direct. It’s almost 100 percent certain that we’ll be releasing one more game during 2026. What kind of game? When can we announce it? We’re not sure just yet. But if you wait a little longer, I feel like we’ll be able to make an announcement soon.”

The Grasshopper Direct included a trailer and other material for ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN. The presentation is available on YouTube.

Suda51 also confirmed plans to publish an art book and an official soundtrack for ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN, and said Grasshopper is “currently in talks with several companies” about a physical release for the game.

ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN launched on February 11, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and has drawn mixed reactions for its uneven balance of fun and frustration. The game’s release and platforms are detailed in a launch brief.
