Fortnite reportedly in early talks for a Minecraft crossover

A new rumor says Fortnite may be working on a crossover with Minecraft. The claim surfaced on X and was reshared by a high-profile Fortnite leaker, but the information has not been verified.

Fortnite x Minecraft seemingly in early development

The original post came from X user AdiraFNInfo and was reposted by leaker HYPEX. HYPEX prefixed their repost with the word “rumored,” which indicates they were unable to independently confirm the claim at the time of sharing.

Fortnite has a long history of pairing with other franchises and even other games. Past in-game crossovers have included characters and items inspired by titles such as God of War, Halo, Street Fighter, and Resident Evil. If the Minecraft report proves true, it would rank among Fortnite’s largest game-focused crossovers.

Speculation about what a Minecraft crossover would look like ranges from an Island reworked in Minecraft’s blocky art style to the arrival of skins based on Steve and other Mojang icons. Players have also suggested themed items and mechanics that echo Minecraft’s tools and blocks. Those ideas are unconfirmed and should be treated as rumor until Epic or Mojang make an official announcement.

Other recent claims about Fortnite include a possible tie-in with The Office. Leaks and rumors have become common around Fortnite drops; for context, HYPEX and other sources have shared multiple tips this season about upcoming content and Sidekick pricing. Console PC Gaming previously reported on a reported Bleach crossover for Chapter 7 Season 1, which leakers circulated last year here.

Until Epic Games or Mojang issue a statement the report remains unconfirmed. HYPEX’s use of the word “rumored” and the lack of direct sourcing mean readers should treat the leak cautiously.
