Embark Studios confirmed in an X post that the Cold Snap update for Arc Raiders will add snow to every map and is scheduled to arrive on December 16, 2025. The developer’s post included the line “Stay warm, stay alive,” and linked to the tease on the game’s official account.

Players have flagged cheating and other problems in recent weeks, and community discussion suggests those issues remain top of mind as the update rolls out. Embark has been active with fixes and communication since launch, but developers have not published a full patch log tied to Cold Snap yet. I’ve been enjoying Arc Raiders myself, and the snow condition should shift how matches play without changing the core loop. Expect visibility and traversal to matter more once the patch goes live.
