Gran Turismo 7 will get its biggest overhaul yet with Spec III update and Power Pack DLC on December 4

Polyphony Digital has confirmed that the free Spec III update for Gran Turismo 7 will arrive the week of December 4 and will land the same week as the series’ first paid DLC, the Power Pack, which is due on Thursday, December 4 for PlayStation 5. Series creator Kaz Yamauchi posted on X that “the GT7 Spec III update is coming next week” which confirms the timing for players on PS5 and PS4. The studio says the update will bring track, car, UI and online tweaks alongside new Scapes and menu additions. Console PC Gaming previously reported that update 1.63 added five cars and new World Circuit events, and Spec III looks to be a larger follow-up that expands the game systems and content in more places.

The paid Power Pack DLC will be PlayStation 5 only and the studio has not confirmed pricing yet. Polyphony says the expansion adds 50 race events, including endurance races that can last up to 24 hours. Spec III brings additions that touch both single-player and online systems, from a higher Collector Level cap and unlimited car invitations in Brand Central to quality of life updates like a Data Logger and a refreshed opening movie. The new Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve join the track list with eight more cars and fresh Scapes curation. Players who bought the game recently may remember that new content and credit bundles have been part of this month’s rollout, Spec III and the Power Pack are the next scheduled pieces for December.
