Team Vitality sign Chronicle ahead of 2026, pair him with Derke

Team Vitality have added Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov to their VALORANT roster, a move announced as the team prepares for the 2026 season. The signing pairs Chronicle with former FNATIC teammate Nikkita ‘Derke’ Sirmitev, creating one of the more talked-about duos in EMEA. Chronicle posted about the move on X, calling the new roster “insane” and looking forward to getting started. Team Vitality also announced on X to confirm the signing.

Chronicle arrives after a strong run with FNATIC, where he won multiple international events across three seasons, including VCT 2023: LOCK//IN Sao Paulo, VALORANT Masters Tokyo 2023 and VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 2. Yet 2025 delivered a series of near-misses for his former side, with second-place finishes in several S-Tier events.

Vitality has been active in the off-season, reshuffling a roster that started 2025 as one of the top EMEA teams but is still searching for those decisive wins. For a look back at Vitality’s recent form and roster context, see our piece on the team’s end-of-win streak here.

Fans reacted strongly to the transfer. Some supporters praised the pick as the missing piece, while parts of the FNATIC community saw the timing and tone of Vitality’s announcement as insensitive given Chronicle’s history with his former club. FNATIC plan to reveal their full roster at an OFF//SEASON event later this year, a move that will likely answer questions about their next steps.

Vitality’s updated roster now reads:

  • Nikkita ‘Derke’ Sirmitev
  • Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov
  • Kimmie ‘Kicks’ Laasner
  • Blendi ‘KovaQ’ Kovaci
  • Felipe ‘Less’ de Loyola Basso
  • Saif ‘Sayf’ Jibraeel
  • Stefan ‘Sayonara’ Mitcu

Daniel ‘Faded’ Hwang remains Head Coach with Aleksy ‘slk’ Lynksov as Assistant Coach. It is an unmistakable statement of intent from Vitality – the team has added a proven talent and staked a claim for a top-spot challenge in 2026. How quickly the new pairing gels will be one of the storylines to watch when the competitive calendar resumes.
