Xbox has partnered with Special Olympics since 2014 to promote accessibility and inclusion in gaming. Over the years, that partnership has included esports tournaments, shoutcaster training, and visits to Xbox Headquarters to spotlight how gaming can bring people together. This summer, nine Special Olympics athletes participated in a customized Xbox Game Camp on the Redmond campus. The two-day program offered studio tours, meetings with leadership, hands-on workshops in coding and game development, as well as sessions focused on accessibility innovations.
Xbox also points to ways to support Special Olympics programs. Visit Special Olympics to learn more, or the organization’s get involved page for donation and volunteering options. Rewards members in select markets can donate points to Special Olympics as well. Please share your thoughts in the comments and follow us on X and Bluesky.
