State of Decay 3 Beta Registration Is Open, but Spots Are Limited

Applicants must connect Discord, verify an email address, and complete a follow-up survey to be considered.

State of Decay 3’s closed beta waitlist is open, but signing up does not guarantee an invitation. Undead Labs is putting the finishing touches on the beta build, and PC players are set to get the first test. PS5 and Xbox access is planned for a later phase.

How to Join the State of Decay 3 Beta Waitlist

Start at the official State of Decay 3 playtest site and follow these steps:

  1. Select “Sign Up for Waitlist.”
  2. Connect your Discord account when prompted.
  3. Verify your email address.
  4. After joining the waitlist, complete the short survey when it arrives.

Undead Labs will select testers from applicants who complete the survey. Spots are limited, so neither registering nor submitting the survey guarantees an invitation.

The studio has not announced a specific start date, but says it expects to share exact timing in the coming days. Undead Labs previously planned to hold the closed beta before the end of 2026, ahead of the game’s planned 2027 launch.

Would you join a closed test when an invitation is not guaranteed? Follow along as Undead Labs prepares the PC beta and plans later console access on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
