Ubisoft has teased a new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, called Valley of Memory, and will publish a full reveal on Monday at 9:00 AM PT / 6:00 PM CEST. The content was previewed with a short trailer on Sunday, and Ubisoft described the expansion as “a free major update”. The teaser announcement did not include full details, which the publisher said will be revealed during Monday’s event.
Earlier reports indicate that the Mirage DLC was developed in collaboration with Savvy Games, an investment group founded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. That report claims Ubisoft initially had no plans to expand Mirage, but changed course after a meeting between Savvy Games and Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft’s CEO, who has recently spoken at Saudi Arabia’s New Global Sport Conference about the company’s future.
Mirage is set in 9th-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age and follows Basim Ibn Ishaq, a street thief who joins the Hidden Ones to fight the Order of the Ancients. Ubisoft also recently confirmed that a new Tencent-backed subsidiary began operating last week under the name Vantage Studios, with co-CEOs Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot leading the studio.
