Ubisoft has confirmed a third expansion for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PS5, titled From the Ashes, arriving 19th December 2025, the same day the third film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, opens. This is a paid add-on that follows the conclusion of the game’s season pass and will ship alongside a new physical bundle, which includes the base game and the expansion.
From the Ashes picks up shortly after the events of the main game and follows So’lek, a battle-hardened Na’vi warrior from the Trr’ong clan. “Ambushed and left for dead by the RDA and their new allies, the ruthless Ash clan, So’lek awakens to a world in flames and his Sarentu family scattered,” reads the expansion blurb.
The expansion will be available as an additional purchase for all players, since the season pass already delivered two DLC packs. Fans who want everything in one package will be able to purchase the new physical release, which bundles the base game with From the Ashes.
The larger December update, previously announced, is expected to arrive on the same day. That update introduces a third-person mode and New Game Plus to the title, and Ubisoft states that it has reworked animations, controls, audio, and camera systems to ensure seamless switching between first-person and third-person perspectives.
If the deal matters, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently discounted on the PS Store at 75% off until midnight on 24th September. The base game is listed at £17.49 / $17.49, with the Ultimate Edition, which includes the first two expansions, priced at £28.74 / $32.49. The PS Store sale makes it cheap to catch up before December.
This expansion matters for players who wanted more story content and those curious about the new camera option, since both change how the game can be played. Share thoughts below and follow us on X and Bluesky.
