Blizzard has just opened the gates for World of Warcraft’s Midnight beta signups, right after the Gamescom Opening Night ceremony. This means anyone curious about the next expansion can throw their hat in the ring now. If you don’t want to gamble on an invite, buying the Epic Edition of Midnight will guarantee your spot.
Unfortunately, there’s no exact date yet for when the beta will kick off. So you’ll have to wait a bit and keep an eye out for that email.
Sign up here for the Midnight beta.
Throughout the beta test, Blizzard plans to invite community veterans, press, fansites, friends, and family to get hands-on with the expansion and provide feedback. Players who buy or upgrade to the Epic Edition will get immediate beta access. Invitations will come via email with instructions to download the client through the Battle.net desktop app.
Beware of phishing attempts, though. If you’re unsure whether your invite is legit, log into your Battle.net account and check if the Midnight beta license is listed under Your Game Accounts. A quick sanity check can save you from getting scammed.
