Xbox Game Pass will lose five games on August 31, 2025, including the popular Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition. If you’ve been meaning to try these out, you’ve got just under two weeks left before they vanish from the service.
Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass added several new titles like Assassin’s Creed Mirage during their August 2025 Wave 1 drop. At that time, only three games were removed, but now the Xbox app shows that five more will be leaving soon. That makes eight games disappearing from Game Pass this month after Anthem, Farming Simulator 22, and Persona 3 Reload already left.

Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition is probably the biggest loss here, since it includes all six DLC packs plus bonus cosmetic items. If you’re thinking about keeping it forever, now’s the time to grab it because these games are also on discount for a limited time. Kind of a bummer to see Sea of Stars and This War of Mine go too, right?
