Rocket League is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a collaboration with the Canadian electronic music producer deadmau5. The anniversary event will run from August 5th to August 20th, 2025, and bring several exclusive in-game rewards and purchasable items themed around the anniversary and deadmau5’s music.
There are 13 in-game rewards available during this limited-time event. Eleven of these are tied directly to the deadmau5 collaboration and can be earned by completing various challenges. For example, you can unlock deadmau5’s new ‘8ths’ anthem by playing a match with a teammate who’s using the same anthem. The deadmau5 Marble topper is yours after gaining three XP levels during the event.
There are also gameplay challenges like earning the Synth Sonic boost by getting seven assists or centres in online matches. Scoring 10 goals online unlocks the Bad Bass trail. And if you win three online matches, you get the Anniversary Crate, which contains items from the Champion series 1-4. You can earn this crate up to five times, so that’s a nice little bonus.
But wait, there’s more in the store. Two bundles will be available for purchase during the event. The first is a McLaren 570S bundle, featuring a set of deadmau5-themed decals and wheels. It costs 900 credits and includes 10 items, like the McLaren 570S Car Body, Phase and Blaze decals, plus silver and flames variants among others. If you already own the McLaren 570S car body, you’ll get the Phase and Blaze decals for free, which is a nice touch.
The second bundle is the deadmau5 Player Anthem bundle. It contains five songs from the Error5 EP collection, which will debut in Rocket League on August 5th and join the official Spotify playlist on August 8th. The songs included are “What a Save,” “Patience,” “Sixes,” “Strobe (Radio Edit),” and “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff.” You can buy the entire bundle for 900 credits or each song individually for 300 credits.
Additional deadmau5-themed items are also available in the shop, including:
- deadmau5 Treble Trouble Trail (300 Credits)
- deadmau5 Soundrave Boost (400 Credits)
- deadmau5 Rave Wheels (700 Credits)
- deadmau5 Loop Wheels (700 Credits)
- deadmau5 Forever Goal Explosion (2000 Credits)
Wow, that’s quite a collection of items and challenges for fans of both Rocket League and deadmau5. It’s nice to see the game celebrating its milestone with something a bit different. The event might urge some players to jump back in or try out new stuff they hadn’t considered before.
