FURIA managed to send Falcons packing at IEM Cologne 2025 in a nail-biting three-map series, even though kyousuke was absolutely on fire. Falcons’ young Russian rifler put on a show with a 1.51 rating, but it wasn’t enough to carry his team through.
The series kicked off on Train, where FURIA’s pick didn’t go as planned. Their T side struggled, while Falcons, led by kyxsan with five opening kills, secured a strong 9-3 half. Despite kyousuke consistently fragging, Falcons took the map 13-7, thanks to m0NESY breaking through with his AWP.
Mirage was a tighter affair. Falcons exploited FURIA’s B hold early, building a 7-5 lead at halftime. But FURIA fought back hard. After Falcons won the pistol round in the second half, FURIA’s star KSCERATO exploded with back-to-back 4k rounds, flipping the momentum and taking a 10-9 lead. FURIA eventually clinched the map 13-11, tying the series.
The decider on Dust2 saw kyousuke steal the spotlight. He aced the pistol round and kept up the pressure with multiple multi-kills, giving Falcons a 7-5 halftime lead. But FURIA, led by the experienced FalleN, dominated the second half, winning eight straight rounds to close out the map 13-7 and eliminate Falcons.
Falcons’ star power, including NiKo and m0NESY, didn’t quite come together this time. Fans and analysts have already started debating what’s next for the roster, with some suggesting more roster changes and big signings. Yikes, the pressure is on.

Falcons might have had the star player in kyousuke, but team CS is what counts. FURIA’s cohesion and clutch moments stole the show. So, what’s next for Falcons? Will they make those roster moves everyone’s talking about? Or will they double down on their current lineup? I’m curious to see.
