Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC will arrive sometime before September 2025. This announcement was made during their latest earnings call, where they also shared some interesting insights about the game’s performance and upcoming content plans. If you’ve been following Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you might find this expansion worth keeping an eye on.
The DLC will add more than 10 hours of fresh content, focusing on an adventure with characters Naoe and Yasuke. Players will be taken to the Island of Awaji, beyond Osaka Bay, where they’ll hunt for a lost treasure crucial for Japan’s future. Ubisoft has announced the addition of a new enemy faction called the Sanzoku Ippa, which will utilize traps and ambush tactics that players must be aware of.
One of the highlights is the introduction of a new weapon type for Naoe, the Bō, along with new skills, gear, and abilities to master. Sounds like there’ll be a decent amount of new gameplay mechanics to get used to, which might spice things up for those who found the base game a bit predictable.
According to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has been performing well and recently reached 5 million players. They’re working on improving the overall player experience while preparing this DLC to maintain momentum.
