Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 4 launched with bugs that frustrated players everywhere. Activision has now promised some big changes aimed at preventing similar issues from wrecking future seasons.

May 29’s Season 4 update was packed with new content for Call of Duty. Unfortunately, it also brought crashing, lag, stuttering, and even reports of the game uninstalling itself. The chaos forced developers to temporarily pull Warzone Ranked Play again, leaving the community scratching their heads and muttering “Yikes.”

Thankfully, most crashing problems have been addressed, and other bugs remain under investigation. On the June 17 episode of the COD POD, Senior Director of Communications Stephanie Snowden tackled the community’s questions about the rocky start.

Activision Responds to Warzone Season 4 Issues

When asked why Season 4 was so bug-ridden, Snowden admitted, “we play these games too, and when there are bugs or issues present, we know that’s frustrating.” She reassured fans that the team has been focused on patching the problems and pointed players toward their CoD Updates Twitter and Trello boards for the latest info.

Snowden emphasized that “pretty big changes” have been made to smooth out seasonal updates moving forward. That’s a relief, considering the community’s recent experience. Many players remain wary after Season 3 Reloaded and Season 4 caused so much disruption.

This is the Current state of Warzone in Season 4 and it is embarrassing @CallofDuty

Game crashes, game UNINSTALLING itself, the servers unplayable. Even if you stop lagging? Cheaters.

No QA? No Testing? Nothing.

The next big update, Season 4 Reloaded, is scheduled for June 26. It will bring back Resurgence Ranked Play and add the classic Black Ops 3 map Fringe to multiplayer. Then Season 5 will arrive on August 7, wrapping up the Zombies storyline with its final map.

Will these promised fixes deliver a smoother experience? Only time will tell. But if Activision’s serious about stopping the game-breaking bugs, it’s a step in the right direction. Players will be watching closely.

What do you think about the state of Warzone and Black Ops 6 right now? Are you hopeful for these changes, or has trust taken a hit? Drop your thoughts in the comments below—let’s talk.
