Nvidia has confirmed the release date for its RTX 5060 graphics card, which will arrive on May 19. This new addition to the RTX Blackwell lineup is the most affordable option yet, with desktop GPUs starting at $299 and gaming laptops beginning at $1,099. This announcement is notable for gamers looking for budget-friendly hardware options.
While Nvidia has not released full specifications for the RTX 5060, some details are available. The card uses the GB206 GPU and offers 19 TFLOPs of performance, compared to 24 TFLOPs on the RTX 5060 Ti. Memory bandwidth is 448 GB/sec with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory on the RTX 5060, matching the memory bus width of 128-bit found on the Ti models.

The RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB cards are currently available for around $420, which may help keep the RTX 5060 pricing close to its MSRP. The 16 GB Ti version is either out of stock or priced near $500, making it less accessible for budget-conscious buyers. The market pricing at this level appears tight, which could prevent excessive price inflation for the RTX 5060.
Performance-wise, Nvidia highlights that the RTX 5060 can deliver up to six times the frame rates of an RTX 3060 in titles like Black Myth Wukong and Alan Wake 2 when using Multi Frame Generation (MFG) technology. For other games, the improvement is around three to four times the frame rates of the older GPU. Without MFG, raw raster performance is expected to be 20 to 25% higher than the RTX 3060, which is a solid gain for this generation.
