Ghost of Yotei’s Digital Deluxe Edition is making waves by topping the PlayStation Store pre-order charts in the US, UK, and other countries, despite its steep price tag of USD 79.99/£79.99. It’s wild to see players willing to spend that much when a cheaper standard edition is available!

According to PushSquare, the Digital Deluxe Edition of Ghost of Yotei is leading pre-orders on the PS Store in the US, UK, and several other regions. In the US, it’s followed by the EA Sports MVP Bundle, the standard Yotei edition, and two DOOM editions: The Dark Ages. The UK charts show a similar pattern, with the Deluxe Edition at the top, then the standard Yotei edition, F1 25 Iconic Edition, and DOOM editions rounding out the top five.

Interestingly, the pricier editions of both Ghost of Yotei and DOOM: The Dark Ages are ranking higher than their standard counterparts. This suggests players are ready to spend extra for additional content. Meanwhile, Xbox recently confirmed it will raise the base price of its first-party standard games to USD 79.99 later this year so that this pricing trend might become more common.

Wondering what you get for that $80 price? The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game plus some cool extras: Snake Armour, Armour Dye, Horse & Saddle, Sword Kit, Traveller’s Maps, and a Charm. These additions might tempt many to go for the deluxe option.
