How to Access ARC Raiders Now: A Guide to Playing Embark Studios’ Extraction Shooter

If you’re curious about ARC Raiders, Embark Studios’ latest take on the extraction shooter genre, this might be just what you need. The game is currently undergoing testing, but access isn’t open to everyone yet. Here’s a clear explanation of how you can try it out today and some insight into when it might officially arrive.

How to get into ARC Raiders?

The current way to play ARC Raiders is through an invite code for Tech Test 2.

This test phase is not an open beta; instead, players must apply for an invite code and hope their application gets accepted. Although there have been other test phases, Tech Test 2 represents one step closer toward a wider release.

Here’s the process broken up into easy steps for you:

  1. Go to the ARC Raiders website.
  2. Click on Sign up for Tech Test 2.
  3. Choose the ARC Raiders platform you wish to sign up with.
  4. Sign in to your account.
  5. Complete the registration process.

Keep in mind that even if you apply for a code, acceptance isn’t guaranteed. The developers can only support as many players as their servers allow during testing. Aleksander Gröndal, executive producer at Embark Studios, has confirmed the game will launch sometime during 2025. So, I won’t be surprised if an Early Access release tag shuffles in sooner than later simply because we’re talking about an Extraction shooter. I mean, come on, Tarkov is in Early Access for around 8+ years, haha.

“First things first, ARC Raiders will launch in 2025 here on Steam.” Whether Tech Test 2 marks the final round of playtesting before release remains unclear. We’ll keep an eye out and share any news here at ConsolePCGaming.com or via Insider Gaming’s updates.

Embark Studios describes ARC Raiders as an extraction shooter set on Speranza’s surface where players seek vital supplies for their struggling colony. The gameplay shares similarities with titles like Escape From Tarkov or Gray Zone Warfare, venturing into dangerous zones equipped with weapons and gear gathered along the way. Importantly, dying means losing everything collected during that run.
