Rogue Frontier Hotfix 2, February 5, Tweaks and Fixes for Albion Online

If you’ve been diving into Albion Online lately, you might have noticed some shifts with the recent Rogue Frontier Hotfix 2. It’s like a patch of rain right after a sunny day, unexpected but refreshing.

This hotfix isn’t just a sprinkle of fixes; it comes packed with changes directly responding to community feedback. Players felt like those pesky Hideout Power Cores were gathering dust, so the devs decided to shake things up on February 5th, 2025. It’s always nice when developers listen to us, right?

Patch Notes

The details are as follows:

  • The spawn rate of 5-crate Smuggler Wagons has been doubled
    • Due to community feedback regarding Hideout Power Cores going uncontested too often, a portion of this increased spawn rate has been funded by diverting a small amount of Power Core spawns to Smuggler Wagon spawns
  • Lock times of Smuggler Wagons have also been increased to improve their visibility:
    • 5-crate Wagons: 60s → 180s
    • 10-crate Wagons: 180s → 300s

Fixes:

Spell Fixes:

  • Cursed Tar (Cursed Staff): Fixed missing spell indicator

Other Fixes:

  • Fixed Crystal Arena ranking thresholds for Season 25
    • Shortly after this hotfix goes live, the Crystal Arena will be available again

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
