Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for its release on February 27, and Capcom has some exciting news. They’re hosting an open beta in early February that’s accessible to everyone! You can test the gameplay features without needing a special invite. Here’s what you need to know to join in on the action.
How to Access the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta
If you want to get your hands on Monster Hunter Wilds before its official launch, you can download the open beta directly from Steam, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. Just head over to each system’s storefront. It’s completely free! But be warned, it might take up much space on your device.
The beta file isn’t available yet but will be closer to the start date mentioned below. So keep your eyes peeled!
Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Dates
The open beta is divided into two phases:
- Phase 1: February 6 – February 9
- Start: 7 pm PT / 6 pm CT / 10 pm ET
- End: 6:59 pm PT / 8:59 pm CT / 9:59 pm ET
- Phase 2: February 13 – February 16
- Start: 7 pm PT / 6 pm CT / 10 pm ET
- End: 6:59 pm PT / 8:59 pm CT / 9:59 pm ET
What Does the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Include?
If you participated in the previous open beta last November, you’ll find familiar features this time around. The February test includes Character Creation, a Story Trial, several monster hunts, and a new one featuring Gypceros.
Here’s something cool: any character you create during this beta will carry over to the main game when it launches. However, please don’t get too attached to any gear or abilities you unlock during this phase; they won’t make it to the final version.
