“The time has come, Helldivers. The War has changed,” reads the official description. Sounds ominous, right? It’s like your favorite sci-fi movie suddenly turned into a horror flick. Our galaxy is getting colder as old foes resurface and new terrors loom over freedom-loving citizens everywhere.
This patch will bring an entirely new faction stepping into the fray. Meet The Illuminate, a group that sounds like they walked straight out of a dystopian novel. Arrowhead describes them as “advanced, brilliant beings wielding powerful technology that appears to average citizens like a kind of dark magic.” Seriously, who doesn’t love some good ol’ cosmic horror?
