The latest hotfix for Gray Zone Warfare, version 0.2.0.5, was just released as Madfinger Games tries to prove itself as one of the best game developers. This patch addresses some nagging issues that have been creeping into players’ experiences since launch.
The standout fixes include resolving the pesky problem of bodies disappearing, a glitch that had many players scratching their heads in confusion and frustration during intense firefights, or, worse yet while trying to loot fallen enemies! Also, vendors can no longer become locked due to decreasing reputation. This should make managing relationships with in-game merchants feel less like a high-stakes diplomatic crisis.
The improvements are equally noteworthy, especially around the hit registration for distant AI NPCs who have seen enhancements (goodbye frustrating misses) and better server logic aimed at tackling those sluggish, sponge-like AI reactions that tested players’ patience more than their skills.
Changelog
[FIXED] Bodies no longer disappear under certain circumstances
[FIXED] Vendors can no longer be locked by decreasing reputation
[IMPROVED] Hit registration on distant AI NPCs
[IMPROVED] Server logic to improve spongy, slow-reacting AI NPCs
[IMPROVED] Server reconnection logic after crashing
Servers running version 0.2.0.4 will shut down at 04:00 AM ET/10:00 AM CET, after which you will be kicked if you do not update your game version.
As someone who has spent countless hours exploring its battlefields, sometimes triumphantly, sometimes facepalming at unexpected deaths, I can say these adjustments are welcome news.
If you’re one of those die-hard PMCs still roaming around out there, remember to return to your Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) before explore headfirst into this update! The servers will shut down soon enough for those clinging onto earlier versions.
Your voices matter immensely. Developers thrive on community feedback like gamers thrive on loot drops! So don’t hesitate to reach out if you encounter any further issues post-update. It’s crucial for shaping future patches and making sure we keep enjoying this gritty warfare experience together.
