Nikita, BSG’s COO, has asked the community what they want Escape From Tarkov to have when it is fully released. The community seems to have a lot to say about what would bring them back to the game, and oh boy, is there a lot to talk about.
Now let’s start from the beginning. Some players have asked for improved matchmaking times. I, too, would be ecstatic if I could jump into a raid in under a minute. Nobody wants to spend their precious gaming time waiting in a queue. Especially when you’ve only got an hour or two to spare.
Other game fans have asked for a full open world with stable 144+ FPS across all locations. Even though it sounds like fiction now, we’re about to see it happen sooner or later. Furthermore, others have also provided some cool ideas, like improved AI for the PvE version, reduced footstep sounds, and an additional slot for carrying objects. Simple quality-of-life improvements can go a long way in enhancing the overall experience. Then, others are all about that high FPS life. Consistent 144 FPS seems to be the golden standard. No one wants to deal with frame drops, especially in a game as intense as Tarkov.
If your main competitor can keep players in charge in less than a minute, you’ve got to step up your game. Quick load times and better audio are non-negotiables for many players. They have some exciting ideas, such as map-to-map travel and traders in raids with delayed delivery of bought items. It was also suggested that the game receives multiple characters, persistent servers with no wipes, and storyline quests.
The community also wants solid game loops and better sound localization. Making PvP and PvE equally rewarding and ensuring no pay-to-win elements are crucial. And let’s not forget stable performance, especially on the Streets.
So, there you have it. The Tarkov community has spoken, and the message is clear-faster load times, better performance, and a more engaging gameplay. Devs take note. We’re all waiting for the day when we can hop into a raid without a hitch and experience Tarkov how it was meant to be played.
