Recent speculations suggest that Nintendo has postponed the introduction of its upcoming next-generation console, shifting its launch from 2024 to the first quarter of 2025. This adjustment implies a potential change in the announcement timeline for the console as well.
Leaks previously stated a March reveal for the Nintendo Switch successor, the Nintendo Switch 2. However, reports now suggest that this announcement has been deferred to June, according to information from content creator PH Brazil, who initially disclosed the delay of the Switch 2. Furthermore, PH Brazil mentioned that the new console will support physical and digital games from its predecessor.
In a thread on the Famiboards forums, PH Brazil mentioned that the unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to occur in June. Additionally, it is rumored that Nintendo plans to host another Direct presentation in April. This comes alongside the official announcement of a Partner Showcase scheduled for tomorrow and an Indie World presentation anticipated to occur before March, possibly in March.
According to Felipe Lima, the editor-in-chief of Universo Nintendo and a known insider, the upcoming Direct in April is expected to be a presentation rather than a Mini, suggesting significant announcements and first-party titles could be on the agenda.
