Ubisoft Singapore’s long-awaited pirate adventure, Skull & Bones, has finally charted its course towards a firm release date. After braving the stormy seas of development, the game is slated to dock on February 16, 2024, as revealed in a new trailer at The Game Awards 2023.
Ubisoft has announced a special offer: players who pre-order the Premium edition of Skull & Bones will get the chance to embark on their high-seas adventure three days earlier than the official launch. This offer extends to subscribers of Ubisoft+, adding an extra incentive for gamers keen on early access.
But that’s not all. Ubisoft is also setting sail for a closed beta voyage, scheduled for December 15-18. This will be a golden opportunity for a select group of players to get a taste of the pirate life before the full game’s release.
Skull & Bones has navigated a challenging journey since its initial announcement. Originally set for a 2018 release, the game faced several delays and even underwent a reboot in 2020. Earlier this year, fans faced disappointment when Ubisoft announced a delay past the initially planned March 9, 2023, release date. Targeting platforms like Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Amazon Luna, and PC, the game’s journey has been a test of patience and anticipation for both the developers and the community.
