DICE added the ability to pick a reticle color in Battlefield 6 as part of the version 1.1.3.5 patch included with the Season 1 extension. The option is tucked into the HUD settings rather than in weapon or scope menus. To change the crosshair color open Settings > HUD > Crosshair. Under Crosshair look for the Crosshair Color option and pick a color from the palette.
The setting lets players fine tune color so the reticle stands out against in-game environments. The guide notes that bright blue is a common choice for visibility, particularly for players with colorblindness who want a reticle that does not blend into backgrounds. Players should avoid yellow or brown tones when possible. Sparks, fire, and explosions in Battlefield 6 can make yellow-ish colors blend into the scene, and brown can also mix with many map textures.
Crosshair thickness can also be adjusted from the same menu. Thicker crosshairs may be easier to see but can obstruct the view when aiming down sights. Battlefield 6 lets players test settings in the Firing Range. When testing, do not aim at the white practice targets because their color will make any reticle shade look more visible than it does in actual combat. Check walls and objects in the firing range and go ADS to see how color and thickness perform in realistic conditions.
Players can experiment until they find a balance between visibility and unobstructed sight picture. Leave a comment to share which color works best for you.
