YAPYAP is a co-op horror game where players use microphones to cast magic spells and assault enemy wizards’ towers. It launched on Steam in early February 2026. According to Insider Gaming, the game sold 500,000 copies within its first week on the market.
Maison Bap, the developer and publisher, thanked players for the milestone and said the team will spend the coming weeks fixing bugs and polishing the experience before turning to additional content. The developer shared the update on Steam on February 9 and added:
“We also know many of you are eager to hear about future updates, but before jumping into new features and content, we want to make sure the game is fully stable and smooth for everyone. Once that’s locked in, we’ll start planning the fun stuff.”
The game remains on a small introductory discount and is listed on the Steam store for $7.99. Players curious about the purchase can view the Steam store page for details and system requirements.
If you’ve tried YAPYAP, say what you think of its microphone spellcasting and whether the current price convinced you to buy, and follow for updates on patches and new content on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
