Xbox Game Camp will make its Mexico City debut on October 17, 2026, alongside Xbox FanFest. The event will bring a select group of Mexican studios together for developer seminars, industry talks and opportunities to meet professionals from across the games business.
The schedule will include a fireside conversation between Jens Bergensten, chief creative officer at Mojang Studios, and Peter Zetterberg, founder of Xbox Game Camp. They will discuss Bergensten’s career and lessons from Sweden’s development community, including how creators can support one another and build stronger connections.
In its October 16 announcement, Xbox said its ID@Xbox Developer Acceleration Program has worked with more than 60 studios across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Honduras, Uruguay and other countries. Since 2023, the program has helped developers bring more than 30 culturally distinctive games to Xbox, offering technical resources, business support and mentorship.
Some of that support has taken practical forms. Panpipe Studio said funding helped with production and post-production on Colorbound, while Navegante received porting support for Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms. Orbit Studio said financial support helped bring Sky Dust to Xbox and Windows.
Six upcoming games bring very different worlds
Mexico’s Halberd Studios is making Mariachi Legends, a combat-focused Metroidvania about detective Pablo Cruz, who gains the power to become the supernatural La Sombra. Set around Day of the Dead, the game also uses traditional Mexican cooking and a day-and-night cycle to shape its exploration.
Chile’s Panpipe Studio takes a puzzle-platforming approach with Colorbound. Players help Anku change the colors of the environment to solve puzzles, as a family of musicians reunites for a farewell concert. The game’s art, music and story draw on Andean culture.
Brazil’s Orbit Studio places Sky Dust in a future shaped by the Moon’s destruction, with action spanning the streets of São Paulo and a digital realm called the Cyberverse. Its mix of combat, exploration, platforming and hacking gives the setting room to become more than a backdrop.
Argentina’s Aparato Games is developing Treetopians, a colony simulator about building vertical villages in the treetops. Players manage resources and a community of villagers with individual needs as they expand into new environments.
Brazilian studio Coffeenauts combines 2.5D action-adventure with colony-building in GHOSTLESS. Set in an alternate 20th century where a Cold War-era AI turns against humanity, the game asks players to grow a resistance base, find survivors and uncover android infiltrators.
Mexico’s Navegante returns to its hand-drawn fantasy world in Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms. The cooperative Metroidvania can be played solo or with local and online co-op, and its parallel-dimension puzzles require players to coordinate the actions of its two protagonists.
