Blizzard’s upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands 9.0.5 patch is slowly but steadily making its way to the official servers. Before its official arrival, Blizzard tends to deploy the patch on the Public Test Realm so that players could toy with it and confirm its healthy or unhealthy integrity.
With patch 9.0.5 available on the public test servers, players can taste the changes before they arrive on the live servers, and one of them is considered huge. Patch 9.0.5 is supposed to upgrade the Mythic Gear and allow players to upgrade their gear in a slightly different way.
This should create a fairer ground for those who are not that lucky or less susceptible to getting an item from dungeons. Having Mythic gear that can be upgraded is surely a new strategy in Blizzard’s book, most likely to be praised by the players only due to the lackluster loot. Gearing in Shadowlands was time-consuming, and this should somewhat promote a more straightforward gear-up method.
How exactly would that work? Well, the upgrades will be purchased with a returning currency, Valor. Valor was a currency that allowed players to increase the power of certain items from Hellfire Citadel, Tanaan Jungle, Draenor Dungeons, and powerful crafted items. The Valor points will be acquired by grinding Mythic+ dungeons.
Patch 9.0.5 is currently available on the PTR, and it’s expected to arrive on the live servers somewhere in March 2021.
