World of Warcraft just dropped a patch featuring a questline all about bees. Sounds cute, right? Well, it kinda is, until you realize you have to slog through 19 quests focused on the same talking insects. Yeah, players aren’t exactly excited.
The bee quests are part of the Ecological Succession storyline, where you’re tasked with restoring a ruined planet’s ecosystem. You start by helping out the honey makers, but soon it turns into a repetitive grind. Get honey, tranquilize bees, take pictures of bees, repeat. And repeat. And repeat.
Like, give me a break. I’ve been losing it today, just running around doing the same thing over and over again. Someone who almost yelled at their monitor because the hive was just a bunch of barely visible bees on the ground. Guess the visual design didn’t help with the frustration. It felt like the quest designer was having a bit of fun at players’ expense.
While saving the bees isn’t mandatory, if you want the best loot from delves, finishing the quest chain unlocks a weekly quest that might reward you with a Restored Coffer Key. So if you’re chasing that sweet loot, you’ll probably have to bite the bullet and deal with the bees. Wonder why they chose bees for a whole quest chain? Maybe they thought it’d be a nice change of pace. Guess it didn’t quite land that way. What do you think about these endless bee quests? Too much or just right?
