World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic has just gone live, inviting players to return to the mysterious continent of Pandaria. This update is significant because it reintroduces a beloved expansion, combining new content with classic elements, allowing fans to relive and revisit the rich world Blizzard created years ago.

What’s New in Mists of Pandaria Classic?

Players will find a variety of fresh content waiting for them, including:

  • New Level Cap: Level up to 90 with reworked talent trees, offering new ways to build your character.
  • Lush New Zones: Explore areas like The Wandering Isle (levels 1–10), The Jade Forest, Valley of the Four Winds, Krasarang Wilds, Kun-Lai Summit, Townlong Steppes, Dread Wastes, and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
  • Dungeons and Raids: Take on six new dungeons, four revamped Heroic dungeons, and three new raids, including the Mogu ‘shan Vaults, available from July 31.
  • New PvP Content: PvP Season 12 will begin the week after launch, unlocking a new arena and two battlegrounds.
  • Sunsong Ranch: Try your hand at farming in the Valley of the Four Winds, building a relationship with the Tillers faction while planting and harvesting crops.
  • Scenarios and Challenge Modes: Engage in three-player micro-dungeons and five-player timed Challenge Mode dungeons for extra rewards and fun.

Discover Pandaria’s Zones

Pandaria is a land full of contrasts, from peaceful jade hills to fierce battlegrounds. Each zone offers distinct stories and challenges. You can read more about these zones in Blizzard’s detailed article if you want a closer look before jumping in.

Meet the Tillers and Farm Your Own Land

In the Valley of the Four Winds, you’ll meet the Tillers, a group of farmers dedicated to Pandaria’s agriculture. By growing your farm and gaining their trust, you’ll unlock new crops and deepen your connection with this peaceful side of the expansion. Farming here isn’t just about rewards; it’s about the rhythm of life in Pandaria.

Dungeons, Scenarios, and Challenge Modes

The dungeons of Pandaria offer a mix of sacred temples and corrupted places to look at. Six new dungeons and three Heroic versions will test your skills and teamwork. For those who like a quick but intense challenge, the three-player Scenarios and five-player Challenge Modes will put you through your paces. You can find more details here and here.

Earn Shaohao’s Sage Serpent Mount

From July 1 to July 30, playing through the Pandaren starting experience in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic will reward you with the Shaohao’s Sage Serpent Skyriding mount in current WoW. Just create a Pandaren, finish the starting experience, and the mount will be added to your collection. Keep in mind, this mount requires an active subscription or game time.

Boost Your Leveling

If you want to jump ahead, there’s a Level 85 Character Boost available from Battle.net, or as part of the Sha-Infused Epic Pack. This boost applies to all Classic Progression characters, including Pandaren and Monks.

Upcoming Raid: Mogu’shan Vaults

On July 31 at 3:00 pm PDT, the Mogu’shan Vaults raid will open globally. This raid revisits the secrets of the ancient Mogu empire and offers multiple difficulty levels (10 and 25 player, Normal and Heroic) with six bosses to face. For more information, Blizzard has a dedicated article.

Optional Sha-Infused Upgrades

Though a WoW subscription or game time is needed to play, players can choose to buy Sha-Infused Epic and Heroic Packs. These bundles provide themed items and bonuses that speed up progression in Mists of Pandaria Classic. You can check them out here.
