The Drowned City's entrance is underwater off Stranglethorn Vale's western coast, beyond The Vile Reef. Look for Sunken Hollow and the cave beside a large tablet. Once through the entrance, the dungeon opens into a troll city under the sky rather than keeping the whole run underwater.

How to Reach the Entrance
- Reach the coast west of Grom'gol and swim towards The Vile Reef with your group.
- Continue towards Sunken Hollow, around 21.4, 27.9 on the Stranglethorn Vale map, near the offshore island with water elementals. Swim down to find the cave beside a large tablet.
- Follow the underwater entrance to the instance portal. Gather before entering the naga-guarded approach and regroup once everyone is inside.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Horde players can take the zeppelin to Grom'gol and head west towards the coast. Alliance characters can approach from Duskwood or use Booty Bay's flight path if they have already unlocked it, then travel north through Stranglethorn. Booty Bay is a useful return connection, but it is not beside this underwater entrance.
Before You Go
The marker shows the underwater cave approach, not a landing point on the dungeon's island. Standing on the coastline or swimming at the surface will not reveal the portal. Check your breath before diving and keep close enough to the group to deal with the naga together.
Water-breathing abilities or supplies make finding the entrance less rushed. Use coordinates for the full Stranglethorn Vale map, not the later split retail zones. This locator covers how to enter; it does not mark the dungeon's interior paths or boss locations.
