Saber Interactive‘s co-op zombie shooter, World War Z: Aftermath, just received an exciting new update called “Against All Odds.” This free update brings a range of fresh content to the game, including new Horde Mode maps, a new weapon, and the freedom to play as any character in PvE episodes.
The Against All Odds update introduces two new maps to Horde Mode: Jerusalem and New York. Hordes of zombies have overrun both cities, and it’s up to players to fend off wave after wave of the undead menace. To help players in their fight, the Baton has been added as a new melee weapon.
In a first for World War Z: Aftermath, players can now play as any character in all PvE episodes, providing a greater range of replayability and customization options. AI party members have also been improved, allowing them to use heavy weapons when playing alongside human players.
Saber Interactive has released two paid DLC packs alongside the free update: the Deadly Vice Weapon Skin Pack and the Rat Packs Weapon Skins Bundle. Priced at $4.99 each, these DLC packs bring four new weapon skins to the game.
As a bonus, players on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One can unlock an exclusive in-game weapon skin and collectible trinket by registering on PROS (Prism Ray Online Services), a new platform powering online services for select Saber Interactive games and other game providers.
The update is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The trailer for the update can be found just below:
