World of Warcraft’s Missing Sparks of Tides Are Still Being Restored

Blizzard expects to restore Sparks to most affected players over the next few days and will post another update once the work is complete.

World of Warcraft players who were supposed to receive Sparks of Tides but never got them are still waiting. Blizzard has resolved the issue that caused some players to miss the rewards, but the restoration process is continuing and will take a few more days.

The original problem prevented some players from receiving Sparks that were due to them. Blizzard’s earlier remedy did not reach everyone, leaving a number of players with missing rewards even after the core issue had been addressed.

Blizzard has also acknowledged reports from players who are still missing Sparks of Tides rewards, including cases where crests never arrived after an earlier bugfix. The response confirms that the issue has reached the team, but it does not confirm that those rewards have been restored or provide a timetable for another correction. Blizzard’s response leaves the restoration effort open while affected characters continue to wait for their items.

Separate Spark-related reports also described characters receiving only two or three Sparks even though their currency tabs showed 4/4 Spark Dust. That cap left affected players unable to collect the full allowance and adds more context to the reward problems surrounding Sparks of Tides this season.

Blizzard expects to restore Sparks to most of the remaining affected players over the next few days. The company also plans to update its thread again when the restoration effort is complete, so the fix is still ongoing rather than fully finished.
