World of Warcraft War Within 11.2 Hotfixes Fix Quest and Achievement Issues

Blizzard addresses quest bugs, achievements, and map icons in the first 11.2 patch hotfixes.

World of Warcraft just got its first batch of hotfixes for patch 11.2, preparing to fix some pesky quest and achievement bugs that were messing with players’ progress. It’s not a massive overhaul, but it tidies up a few things that have been causing headaches, especially around quests and map visuals.

Among the fixes, achievements like Mad World and Through the Looking Glass that had gone missing are back on track. That’s a relief for anyone grinding those out. In Sidestreet Sluice, Vindel Snapcrank will now properly respawn after resetting combat, which should help with some Delve runs.

Over in the K’aresh zone, players will notice the map icon for Tazavesh now correctly shows the Renown Rank. Plus, Phase jumping conduits nearby are visible on the map again, making navigation a little less frustrating. I mean, who wants to guess where to jump next?

Quest fixes are where most of the attention went. The “Crest Transmutation” quest now consistently awards extra Carved Ethereal Crests, so no more random disappointments. Players who picked a talent for their Reshii Wraps should finally be able to complete the “Wrapped Up” quest without any hiccups. And bosses in Horrific Visions are now properly counting towards the “Worldsoul: Horrific Visions Revisited” quest, which was a major pain point for some.

Blizzard’s quick patch shows they’re listening, but it’s a bit surprising these bugs made it through the initial release. Guess they were focused on bigger features? Either way, these fixes should smooth out some rough edges and get players back to enjoying the content without the annoying interruptions.

War Within 11.2 Hotfixes – August 6th

  • Achievements
    • Fixed a bug that made Mad World and Through the Looking Glass go missing.
  • Delves
    • In Sidestreet Sluice, Vindel Snapcrank will now properly respawn if he leaves combat and resets.
  • K’aresh
    • The map icon for Tazavesh should now show the proper Renown Rank.
    • The nearest Phase Diving conduits should now be visible on the map when Phase Diving.
  • Quests
    • Resolved an issue where “Crest Transmutation” would not always give players extra Carved Ethereal Crests.
    • Players who selected a talent for their Reshii Wraps should be able to wrap up “Wrapped Up”.
    • Fixed a bug where bosses in the Horrific Visions were not counting towards the quest: “Worldsoul: Horrific Visions Revisited”.

Feel free to share your thoughts or any other bugs you’ve noticed in the comments below. Blizzard’s hotfixes are a good sign, but there’s always room for more polish.
