World of Warcraft: Forever Will Soon Bring More Weather to Some Zones
The first beta patch will make rain and fog heavier in some zones, but the complete zone list and treatment of snowstorms and sandstorms remain unconfirmed.
World of Warcraft: Forever‘s first beta patch will soon bring heavier storms to certain zones, replacing the lighter weather currently seen with denser rain and fog. The announcement does not provide a release date or a complete list of affected areas, but full patch notes are expected to explain the change.
Elwynn Forest is the clearest example so far. The teaser shows rain cutting visibility around Goldshire, leaving only a short stretch of road and nearby trees in view. The effect is far heavier than a light atmospheric drizzle, making the familiar settlement look like a place worth reaching before the storm closes in.
Weather already exists in the beta, but the new pass aims for storms that feel more substantial. Requests for stronger weather had already appeared among players, with Dun Morogh’s heavy snow often cited as a memorable example of how visibility and atmosphere once changed during travel.
Forever’s stronger weather will remain zone-specific
Not every area will necessarily receive the same treatment. The beta’s current level cap is 20, and the patch is being prepared while the test is still running. Heavier rain is confirmed, but it is not yet clear whether snowstorms or sandstorms will receive comparable changes. More complete patch details are expected later this week.
Much of the early experience involves traveling through forests and deserts on foot, giving stronger weather more room to shape familiar routes. It is not yet clear whether the change will affect anything beyond presentation, but the patch is expected to arrive ahead of World of Warcraft: Forever‘s scheduled November 4, 2026 launch.
