World of Tanks’ August Calendar Brings Back Frontline and a 16th Anniversary

The month also includes the AMD Clan Showdown, two Onslaught tournaments, and a Cupcake Token store that stays open until September 7.

World of Tanks has a packed August ahead, with Frontline battles, anniversary rewards, Twitch Drops, and several competitive events planned throughout the month. The official August WoT Monthly calendar notes that event details can change.

August events and specials

Onslaught Light will continue through August 3 after starting on July 20. The mode features 7v7 battles in Tier VIII vehicles, including Premium vehicles, without ranks.

The AMD Onslaught Legends Cup #5 Finals will take place from August 1 through August 2. Eight teams reached the playoffs, with the finalists competing in 7v7 knockout matches for prizes and a place at this year’s WCI in China.

WoT’s 16th Anniversary will run from August 12 through August 31. Its new Journey event will send players through familiar locations while they collect rewards. The celebration will also include bundles, discounts, Twitch Drops, TikTok Drops, and a gift for all players.

Players can earn Cupcake Tokens by watching Twitch streams from August 10 through August 31. Those tokens can be spent in the Anniversary Token Store on 3D attachments, 2D styles, and the VI M4A1 FL 10. Any remaining tokens must be used by September 7 at 9:00 UTC, when the store closes.

Frontline returns from August 17 through August 24. The mode puts Tier VIII vehicles into large sector-based battles across massive maps, with rewards available for taking part.

Competitive events and broadcasts

The AMD Clan Showdown will run from August 12 through August 23. Teams can compete for gold, bonds, and a share of a €15,000 prize pool. The official World of Tanks Twitch channel will broadcast the matches with Drops enabled, and viewers will not need to sign up to watch.

The month’s final tournament entry is the WCI Wildcard Tournament, scheduled for August 30 and August 31. One team will claim the last available place at this year’s WCI in China.

With Frontline returning, anniversary rewards on the way, and multiple tournaments filling the broadcast schedule, August gives World of Tanks players plenty to track. Tell us which event you plan to play or watch in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
