World of Tanks 2.4.2 Common Test Previews Clearer Audio and Wider 3D Attachments
Combat sound adjustments are joined by an Advent Calendar preview starting November 6.

The World of Tanks 2.4.2 Common Test gives players an early look at revised combat audio, broader 3D attachment support, and the Advent Calendar. The announcement for the 2.4.2 Common Test invites players to try the changes before the update’s release.
Combat audio is getting attention across gun caliber groups of 100 mm and above. The adjustments aim to make those guns easier to tell apart, with large-caliber fire given a clearer sound identity. Wargaming has also balanced shots, reflections, and tracer sounds to reduce overlapping gunfire and make hits on enemy vehicles easier to distinguish. Reflections remain part of the soundscape, preserving differences between places such as urban areas, foothills, and enclosed spaces.
The Advent Calendar will be available to test starting November 6, 2026. In the Garage, players can open a door on its interactive 3D display case each day to claim a free item. If a day is missed, the next login allows players to claim that day’s reward alongside the current one. Test rewards are temporary and will be replaced when the feature goes live.
3D attachments will also work on almost every vehicle from Tier VIII through Tier XI, with a handful of exceptions. The additions are cosmetic, giving players more ways to customize their vehicles.
