Blueprints are the shortcut from scavenger to crafter in Arc Raiders. You can find them almost anywhere, but some places massively improve your odds and make looting worth the risk. Start with the hotspots. Areas with a lot of containers and higher loot rarity tend to produce blueprints more often. Look for locations like Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds and the Departure Building in Spaceport. Locked rooms inside those zones usually contain several containers to loot in one go, which raises your chance of finding something valuable.
If you want a quick refresher on which maps and points of interest are best for scavenging, check our guide to Best ARC Raiders Maps for Quests and Items for recommended drops and high-traffic loot zones. Containers matter. Blueprints often appear inside crates, lockers, and supply boxes. Make a habit of sweeping every searchable container you see. If you prefer a quieter method or want to hit concentrated loot without running through every corridor, learn how Field Crates work and where they spawn, since they can net better items than random floor spawns.
When you do find a blueprint, don’t carry it in your regular inventory unless you have to. If your build includes an augment with a safe pocket, stash the blueprint there so it survives a death and respawn. Remember you still need resources to craft what a blueprint unlocks. Items like lemons feed Scrappy and help with crafting materials, so keep an eye out for resource nodes while you hunt blueprints.
Short checklist to follow while hunting blueprints:
- Prioritize high-loot areas and locked rooms.
- Search every container and field crate you find.
- Use a safe pocket to protect blueprints on death.
- Have a Hatch Key ready for a clean exit if needed.
- Gather crafting resources so you can use the blueprints you find.
Blue or purple rarity areas and clustered container spots are the best targets when you want to upgrade from scavenger to builder. Happy looting, and watch your six, other players love shiny things too.
